Who is the Local Pensions Partnership?

The Local Pensions Partnership (LPP) is a successful collaboration between two LGPS funds – Lancashire County Pension Fund and London Pensions Fund Authority – which has created:

  • A best-in-class, end-to-end pension services organisation for public sector funds. LPP currently provides pension administration services to c.1,200 employers with more than 517,000 members across the LGPS and Blue Light sector.
  • An FCA-regulated structure for asset pooling.
  • An organisation focused on managing assets and liabilities (risk) together in order to improve long-term fund performance, stabilise contributions and reduce deficits.
  • A partnership which is open to other LGPS and public sector funds to join as owner shareholders or as investors in LPP’s pool.

As a local government owned pension services company, our drive is to achieve economies of scale and efficiencies for the benefit of our members, employers, partner funds and customers, rather than profits for shareholders, without compromising on service quality.
