It’s time to say goodbye to our second amazing intern from the 2025 intake

What made you chose LPPI for an internship?

The main reason I chose LPPI for an internship is the way in which LPPI invests impacts the local community, they care about society and improving infrastructure.

The team and all those who I spent time with took the time to support me. From day one I was buddied up with two individuals who took the time out to take me for lunch and check in regularly with me.

Everyone here has been easy to talk to right up to the Senior Leadership Team. And I have felt supported through my internship.

What are the three things you enjoyed learning about most during your internship?

How important clients are, and the importance of frequent catch ups allows you to prioritise their requirements. Whilst LPPI is trying to be impactful through investments it recognises how crucial it is to be respectful.

On a personal note, I have been able to develop my presentation skills. I was given the opportunity to work on a project in my first week where I was able to present to a Portfolio Manager. I was given real time feedback, both positive feedback and ways in which I could develop/improve my presentation further.

Spending time with the Direct Infrastructure team – they really tried to bring my knowledge up to speed and everyone made time for me. I was able to learn about the due diligence required to facilitate an investment and develop my understanding of the assets. I was taught the importance of going into detail when considering investments

Tell us a bit about you.

I have just completed my Bachelor of Science in Economics and Politics at the University of Exeter, which has been a huge achievement given the personal challenges I have had to overcome. This has taught me that I am very resilient and adaptable to change even when faced with the toughest of situations.
