As Chief Executive of LPPI and LPP Group, Chris leads and oversees c.£22bn of pensions investments, and the administration of pensions for over 609,000 members. Chris originally trained as an investment risk manager and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. During a period of over two decades he has managed a variety of investment portfolios and businesses as both a direct investor and as an allocator of capital - forging partnerships with like-minded investors and asset managers. Chris is a trustee at a primary phase multi-academy trust and holds non-executive director positions within the renewables and project finance sectors.
Jo Darbyshire joined LPP in April 2019 where she is responsible for leading the business to continue to drive a programme of building a strong and sector-leading pension administration offering which focuses and delivers on increased operational efficiency for clients, tailored and effective member communications, robust risk and data management.
Jo brings a wealth of experience in the life and pensions sector. She held several senior roles at the Co-operative Group including Head of Co-operative Life Planning and Head of Commercial and Strategy. Jo currently holds a Non-Executive Trustee and Director position at the Leasehold Knowledge Partnership.

Tom joined LPP in July 2016 from the Maple Financial Group, where he spent almost 20 years building his skills in different parts of the business including Operations and Finance. From 2008, he was the Chief Risk Officer (Market Risk), Global, a role that saw him drive the management and communication of Maple’s business
line policies within an economic capital framework totalling £400 million.
Tom’s areas of responsibility included capital planning and the measurement and reporting of market risk where he led the design and implementation of risk methodologies, policies and procedures to meet both internal and regulatory objectives, including Value at Risk, Credit Capital at Risk, scenario analysis and stress testing.
At LPP, Tom is also responsible for leadership of LPPI’s operational platform including its risk and control functions
Tom graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc in Economics and Politics. He also holds a Certificate in Securities from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Greg joined LPP from the London Pensions Fund Authority (LPFA) where since 2004 he held a number of corporate development roles including Head of Communications, before becoming Head of Governance & Strategy in 2014. Since 2009, Greg was also LPFA’s Board Secretary and in this role was recognised as Company Secretary of the Year at the 2015 ICSA Awards. In his time at LPFA, Greg led on a number of strategic change programmes including the £10bn partnership with Lancashire County Council. Greg also holds a degree in Law from the University of Reading.
Following the formation of the LPP, Greg took up the role as Director of Strategic Programmes and Group Company Secretary. This role included establishing a directorate of strategic corporate services, shareholder engagement, leading on a transformation to create LPP as a standalone business, and working alongside the investment professionals on the establishment of asset pooling vehicles.

Adrian joined LPP in November 2018. With over 30 years of financial services experience, mainly in the asset and wealth management sectors, Adrian has worked at Barclays Capital, JP Morgan Asset Management and Fidelity. Adrian’s recent roles include Finance Director UK at Edmond de Rothschild, Partner and Finance Director at Killik & Co, and CFO at Sarasin & Partners. Adrian qualified as a chartered accountant while at KPMG and is a fellow of the ICAEW. He graduated from Exeter University with a BA (comb hons) degree in Economics and Statistics.
Richard is CIO at LPPI and has responsibility for management of all investment and client activity.
Richard has over 19 years of investment experience. Prior to joining LPP in 2017, Richard was Head of Portfolio Advisory (EMEA) at Albourne Partners for six years where he advised European investors on alternative investments, portfolio construction and risk management. Earlier in his career, Richard was Head of Multi-Strategy at Old Mutual Asset Managers and prior to this an analyst at GNI Fund Management. Richard holds a degree and a master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
